4005 is a rapid set, high strength medium to low viscosity concrete rapid repair polymer. The 4005 is designed for use as a rapid repair product for concrete when the repair is going to be “immediately” coated over with PolyUrea/Aspartic or Epoxy and the coating/repair will be exposed to direct sunlight.
What 4005 is designed for: Some rapid repair materials contain additives that when they are surface ground in preparation for coating and then coated over quickly can, over time, cause shadowing of the top coat when the sun hits that section of the floor. The sunlight can heat the repair under the coating and drive out any remaining volatile components in the repair and produce a shadow. 4005 is formulated not to shadow through a decorative aliphatic top coat when the area is exposed to sunlight and still provide very quick turn-around time for the repair allowing coating of the repair as soon as it has set and has been prepared for the top coat.
Unique Characteristics:
4005 is low in viscosity allowing the product to penetrate and lock into the concrete better than epoxy. 4005 sets very quickly allowing use in just minutes.
Another unique characteristic is “Very Low Odor” allowing this product to be used in sensitive areas where odor could be a problem.
Cold Temperatures: The product is unique in that it can repair cracks and spalls of most any size at temperatures below zero, (-10°F) . The product can be ground smooth and become almost invisible when properly prepared and coated.
Preparation: Concrete must have a minimum 28 day cure prior to application. **Concrete Must Be Dry. Clean the concrete repair area surface and remove all unsound concrete, dust and debris. Prepare surface using a dry diamond blade or a twisted wire wheel for spalls. Cut perimeter of damage with dry diamond blade to form a key-way. Chase and open cracks to provide some depth to the crack to allow for quick traveling of the product deep into the crack.
Application Bulk: Mix 4005 at a 1:1 ratio. Use a jiffy mixer or other multi blade mechanical mixer only. No paddle mixers. Mix part A and B mechanically at high speed for approximately 30 seconds. Use mixed product as a primer for the bottom of the repair.
Grout Repair:
One part of mixed (A&B) product to two parts select sand, i.e., 1 pint of A + 1 pint of B added to 2 quarts of sand. Blend mixed product into sand quickly. Mix product and sand for another 30 seconds and immediately pour into the prepared and primed application area. Work into the repair area quickly. Screed to finished grade and allow to set, top surface with product as needed, broadcast additional sand as needed.
Allow product to set and grind using a grinder fitted with a fine grit Zec wheel. Work in circular motion to grind/smooth to finished grade.
Seal the surface using mixed product neat with no sand.
Swelling: Some swelling of the product/repair can occur due to residual moisture in surrounding concrete or in the sand used as a filler. This is not a problem. Allow the repair to set, let any minor swelling take place. When the repair is hard, grind as usual and surface coat the ground repair with neat mixed A & B as a seal coat.

1. Preparation
Concrete Cure & Dryness: Concrete must have a minimum 28-day cure. The concrete must be completely dry.
Debris Removal: Clean the repair area thoroughly, removing all unsound concrete, dust, and structural debris.
Profiling: Clean and profile spalls using a dry diamond blade or a twisted wire wheel.
Key-Way & Chasing: Cut a perimeter around the damaged area using a dry diamond blade to form a secure structural key-way. Chase and open up cracks to create depth, allowing the low-viscosity liquid to travel deep into the slab.
2. Mixing (Bulk Application)
Ratio: Maintain a strict 1:1 mix ratio of Part A and Part B.
Equipment: Use a Jiffy mixer or a multi-blade mechanical speed mixer only. Do not use standard paddle mixers.
Execution: Mix Part A and Part B mechanically at high speed for exactly 30 seconds.
3. Grout Repair & Installation
Priming: Use a small amount of the neat, mixed 4005 liquid to prime the bottom and sides of the prepared repair area.
Screed Mix: Quickly blend 1 part of the mixed (A and B) liquid with 2 parts of select, dry sand (for example: 1 pint of A + 1 pint of B added to 2 quarts of sand). Mix the liquid and sand together for an additional 30 seconds.
Placement: Immediately pour the slurry into the prepared, primed repair area. Work the material into place quickly, screed it to finished grade, and broadcast additional sand over the surface as needed to level.
Swelling Note: Minor swelling can occur if residual moisture is present in the surrounding concrete or sand. Allow the repair to fully harden before addressing it.
4. Finishing & Sealing
Grinding: Once hard, use an angle grinder fitted with a fine-grit Zec wheel. Work in a smooth, circular motion to grind and level the repair flush with the surrounding floor.
Seal Coat: Clean away all grinding dust. Apply a final seal coat over the ground repair using a freshly mixed batch of neat 4005 (with no sand aggregate added). This prevents any shadowing from telegraphing through your decorative top coats.
4010 is a very rapid set, high strength ultra-low viscosity concrete repair polymer. This two part polymer system is designed for rapidly rebuilding deeply spalled or damaged concrete surfaces, broken control joint walls and repairing cracks and spalls in concrete rapidly even in cold conditions. 4010 is an aromatic polymer but can also be supplied in an aliphatic version (4010ALP).
Heavy Loads In 10 to 15 Minutes: 4010 repairs are put back in service in minutes after the installation is made. The 4010 is intended for use in damaged concrete, from parking decks to warehouse/cold storage floor spalls. This product is especially useful in these areas where "Down- time" is limited and a facility must operate around the clock.

Application with pre-placement of sand:
Prepare the area and depending the depth, place the select sand in the repair. It the repair is deep work in layers adding sand as product is added. Work up to the finished grade and broadcast additional sand as the product floats on the surface of the placed sand. Use a hand dressing/finishing stone to surface-grind the setting product while apply additional dry sand to the surface. Work the surface with the finishing stone to produce a smooth surface.
Limitations: Do not use on wet surfaces or expose part A to moisture. This product is moisture sensitive and should not be applied to wet surfaces. * Product will bond damaged slabs together and may stop movement. Not intended for use where substrate movement is required.
Hot Conditions:

Repair is made simply by mixing 1 part of fluid A to 1 part of fluid B or vice versa and pour into damaged area until grade level and allow it to set. It is that simple!
1. Preparation
Substrate Inspection: Concrete must have a minimum 28-day cure and the repair zone must be entirely dry.
Cleaning: Remove all laitance, loose concrete, frost, ice, dust, and contaminants.
Cutting: For thresholds, joints, or spalls, saw-cut the perimeters and corners with an angle grinder fitted with a dry diamond blade to a depth of at least 1 inch to establish a high-adhesion key-way. Hack away remaining loose material with a demolition hammer and vacuum clean.
2. Priming (Damp or Freezer Floors Only)
Freezer Thresholds: If working on a damp slab or standard cold-storage threshold transition, mix Madison 6010R primer (2 parts A to 1 part B by volume).
Application: Brush the mixed primer directly onto the vertical and horizontal surfaces of the spall immediately prior to placing the repair polymer.
3. Application Method A: Standard Grout Mix
Mechanical Mix: Measure Part A and Part B at a 1:1 ratio. Mix at high speed with a mechanical Jiffy mixer for 30 seconds.
Aggregate Blend: Quickly add 2 parts select dry sand to 1 part mixed liquid. Mix for another 30 seconds and pour immediately into the prepared area.
Leveling: Screed the grout mix slightly higher than the finished grade line.
Grinding: Let the product set (takes 3 to 4 minutes; completely hard in 15 minutes). Grind flush using a fine-grit Zec wheel in a circular motion, then seal the surface with a neat coat of mixed 4010.
4. Application Method B: Pre-Placement of Sand
Sand Packing: Pack the dry, select aggregate sand directly into the dry, prepared cavity. For deep cavities, work in lifts (layers).
Saturation: Mix Part A and Part B (1:1 ratio) for 30 seconds and pour the neat liquid directly over the pre-placed sand. The ultra-low viscosity fluid will saturate and self-prime through the aggregate.
Honing: Broadcast additional sand as the liquid floats to the surface. Use a hand dressing/finishing stone to surface-grind the setting product while adding dry sand to work it to a smooth, level finish.
4015 is a very rapid set, high strength ultra-low viscosity concrete repair polymer. Preplace Method: Use #30 Grit Sand placed into repair area. Add Mixed product into the placed sand. If the repair is deep work in lifts. As the product saturates the sand add more sand and product until finished grade is reached. Finish with a broadcast of sand slightly above grade. Grind as needed.
Injection:
Set ports over the crack to be injected. Seal over the ports and over the crack using Madison’s 820 vertical cap seal. Allow the Cap Seal 820 to set for about 30 to 40 minutes before injection. Use only ports that fit the static mixers as supplied with the duplex cartridges.
Do not change static mixers or ports as the two items are designed to fit together. Place the end of the static mixer into the preplaced port. Slowly and evenly dispense the product using the duplex cartridge gun.
Watch the product flow as the mixed product exits the static mixer and flows/travels into the repair area. Monitor the progress of the product as it moves up to the next port. When the product reaches the next port above the one being injected, remove the static mixer from the port, seal the port with the provided plug and move up to the next port and begin the operation again. Set time is predicated on the temperature of the substrate. Typically the product will gel in 4 to 5 minutes at about 70 degrees F. The product will harden in 10 to 15 minutes and the ports can be removed. Seal the blemish left by the port using the 830. Sand, sack or finish as needed prior to coating the surface. Exterior applications should be ground and allowed to set for one to 2 days prior to being coated.

Slab Condition: Concrete must be fully cured (28 days minimum) and completely dry.
Debris Removal: Clear away all unsound concrete, dirt, and dust.
Chasing: Use a dry diamond blade to square off spall edges or chase cracks out to create a clean, deep channel for the polymer. Vacuum thoroughly.
2. Mixing (Bulk & Grout Methods)
Bulk Mix: Measure a 1:1 ratio of Part A and Part B. Mix with a mechanical Jiffy mixer at high speed for 15 to 20 seconds. Apply a thin layer of this neat mix to the cavity floor as a primer.
Grout Slurry: Combine 1 part mixed 4015 liquid with 2 parts dry select sand. Mix for 30 seconds, pour immediately into the patch, screed flat, and top with a light sand broadcast.
Pre-Place Method: Fill the repair area with number 30 grit sand. Pour the mixed 1:1 liquid directly into the sand, working in layered lifts for deep sections until saturated. Top with aggregate, let cure for 10 to 15 minutes, and grind smooth with a Zec wheel.
3. Crack Injection Method
Port Setup: Set injection ports directly over the center of the cleared crack.
Cap Seal: Apply Madison 820 Vertical Cap Seal over the ports and along the face of the crack line to contain the liquid. Allow the cap seal to cure for 30 to 40 minutes.
Cartridge Setup: Use the specialized duplex cartridge gun equipped with the exact matching static mixer provided. Do not swap or modify the mixer tip.
Injection Injection Process: Place the static mixer tip securely into the lowest port. Dispense the product slowly and evenly.
Port Progression: Watch the liquid travel up the crack. When the product begins to flow out of the next port up, remove the mixer tip, seal the lower port with a plug, move up to the filled port, and resume injecting.
4. Hardening & Finish
Port Removal: The product will gel within 4 to 5 minutes at 70°F and harden completely in 10 to 15 minutes. Once hardened, snap off the injection ports.
Blemish Touch-Up: Patch any remaining port marks using Optimus 830.
Exterior Curing Note: For exterior projects, grind the completed repair flush and allow it to sit for 1 to 2 days before applying any final decorative top coats.
Optimus 4020 is an advanced polyurethane formulated, low viscosity, rapid set, high strength, ultra low viscosity, self leveling, two component, 1:1 ratio by volume, 100% solids repair material. This strong and rigid material has been designed to fix spalled concrete surfaces and cracks, and to rebuild damaged concrete, control joints, parking decks to warehouse/ cold storage floor spalls effectively and quickly. Optimus 4020 works for concrete and asphalt repairs. The product penetrates into small cracks and forms a high strength adhesive bond between broken structures with the benefit of sealing the base against further erosion from water in outside applications. The tack free time is 5 to over 15 minutes depending on temperature. Exposure to sunlight (UV) may cause discoloration, however the physical properties are essentially unaffected. Optimus 4020 is slightly moisture sensitive and should be applied on dry surfaces. Please refer to our flexible products such as Optimus 4020 for areas where movement is required. Installation Guidelines:
Clean the area of debris and contaminants, such as oils, loose materials, dirt, rubber etc., to allow for good adhesion of the product. Expose clean rough concrete for best results. If using a saw to cut concrete and clean the crack, remove all the dust from the cut out area. Make sure the area is dry. All equipment, pumps and hoses must be dry. Avoid moisture contact with the mixture.
For bulk mixing, pre‑ mix each component thoroughly. Proportion equal parts by volume of Component “A” and Component “B” through appropriate metered mixing equipment. Mix only the quantity that can be used within pot life and do not allow mixed material to reside in static mixing head or mixer for more than 1 minute or nozzle blockage may result. Deep Crack / Joint Application: Apply product to the bottom of the crack and work up in layers. First apply product, then deliver aggregate into the applied product. Add more product & aggregate. Repeat the steps until reaching the finished grade.
Aggregate: The use of approved non reactive aggregate with Optimus 4020 will increase gel and cure times. Aggregate must be free of moisture. In exterior applications, the use of dry silica sand (grit sizes from 12 to 60) will reduce discoloration from UV Rays. Certain gravel grades may be used on large applications. Ask your Optimus professional for details.
Maintenance of Equipment: Tools and equipment must be cleaned immediately after use. Remove all excess product. Cured product is hard to remove. Optimus R70 Pump Flush is a solvent free, non‑ flammable cleaner, lubricator, pump and hose conditioner. Please refer to the product data sheet for detailed information.
Health and Safety: Protect your health! Always use safety gear in compliance with OSHA and all applicable local and job‑ site regulations While working with products. Handling of this product may result in spills, splashes, and airborne substances. Wear appropriate safety goggles, gloves and safety clothing at all times. Consider property in proximity of the application to prevent loss or damage. Protect jobsite from unauthorized persons. Store all materials and equipment safely and out of reach of children and animals! Observe container labels, SDS, applicable laws and regulations and all instructions before using the product and equipment. In case one of the components comes in contact with the skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water. Provide adequate ventilation in volume and pattern in working area. Further protection: emergency showers and eyewash stations. Get immediate medical attention as needed.
Tips for Cartridge Users:
Shake cartridge prior to all applications and each time it is used for a minimum of 1 minute.
Remove air from system ‑ prime cartridge by slowly dispensing product from cartridge into mixer in vertical orientation until mixer is completely filled.
Discard a small amount of product prior to application. Ratio may be slightly off when initial product travels through static mixer. Once uniform mixture is observed, product is ready for application.
Do not apply to wet or damp substrates. Excessive moisture may cause bubbles or uneven reaction.

1. Substrate Preparation
Slab Condition: Concrete must be a minimum of 21 to 28 days old, depending on local curing and drying conditions. The application area must be completely dry.
Cleaning: Remove all dirt, dust, loose materials, oils, grease, and rubber tire marks from the patch area. Expose a clean, rough substrate surface for maximum adhesive bonding.
Saw Cutting: If cutting out the concrete or widening a crack with a saw, thoroughly vacuum away all residual dust from the joint or cavity before applying product.
2. Material Prep & Mixing Methods
Method A: For Bulk Kit Users (1, 5, or 55 Gallon Kits)
Pre-Mixing: Thoroughly pre-mix Component A and Component B independently before combining.
Proportions: Measure equal parts (1:1 ratio by volume) through metered mechanical mixing equipment.
Handling: Only mix the exact quantity that can be placed within the 3-minute pot life. Do not let mixed material remain in a static mixing head or nozzle for more than 1 minute to prevent immediate equipment blockage. Do not add any solvents.
Method B: For 22 oz Cartridge Users
Shaking: Agitate and shake the cartridge vigorously for a minimum of 1 minute prior to every single use.
Purging Air: Prime the cartridge by holding it in a vertical orientation and slowly dispensing product up through the static mixer until the tip is completely filled.
Discard Initial Surge: Squirt out and discard a small initial amount of product. The mixing ratio can be slightly off during the initial travel through the nozzle. Once a completely uniform mixture color is observed, the product is ready to apply.
3. Repair Installation (Deep Cracks, Joints, & Spalls)
Layered Approach: For deep sections, apply the liquid to the bottom of the crack or cavity first and work upward in layered lifts.
Aggregate Delivery: Deliver completely dry, non-reactive aggregate directly into the wet layer of applied liquid. Add another layer of liquid product, followed by more aggregate.
Aggregate Specs: Use dry silica sand (grit sizes 12 to 60) for standard repairs. For exterior applications, this aggregate helps block UV rays and reduces surface discoloration. For large highway or industrial applications, specific grades of clean gravel may be used.
Screeding: Repeat the alternating product and aggregate layers until you reach the finished grade line.
4. Curing, Return-to-Service, & Clean-Up
Cure Time: The product will achieve a tack-free state in 5 to 15 minutes, depending heavily on ambient temperature. Using dry aggregate will naturally extend the gel and cure times slightly.
Equipment Care: All application tools, pumps, and hoses must be cleaned immediately after use. Cured polyurethane is highly adhesive and extremely difficult to remove mechanically.
Flushing: Flush out pumping machinery using Optimus R70 Pump Flush to safely clean, lubricate, and condition internal lines and hoses without using hazardous solvents.
